If you know CallidusCloud, you’ve probably heard—CallidusCloud Connections (C3) 2017 is a week away. This year, we’re going back to the roots of what this conference is about: connecting. What does it mean to connect with experts from the top industries? With skills and strategies to level up and become a power user? With ideas and people with purpose? The list goes on…

The Grand Taxonomy of C3 2017

C3

The great Steve Jobs once said, "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future." No offense to Steve, but we don’t agree with him here at CallidusCloud. We prefer to look to Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP, for insight on this topic, when he said, "If you can connect dreams and details, you can achieve a lot." Sure, connections aren’t always obvious, but like anything, if you take the time to plan and spell it out, you can make things happen.

If you’re an accountant like me, you probably live in spreadsheets. It can be a bit reclusive; most of us are guilty of it. But when the finance team at Commvault started implementation of CallidusCloud Commissions in 2015, we had to get more social and share ideas.

Speaking at C3 Creates Lasting Connections

Speaking at C3 Creates Lasting Connections

I’ve been going to C3 for years – pretty much as long as there has been a C3. Leslie Stretch, president and CEO of CallidusCloud, terms people like me “C3 Gladiators” – customers that have not only been around awhile but actively seek to revolutionize the way their organizations make money.

Three Favorite Customer Short Stories to Come Out of C3 2016

Three Favorite Customer Short Stories to Come Out of C3 2016

CallidusCloud’s big event drew to a close roughly a week ago, which has given me a little time to reflect on some of the things I heard from customers while I was there. Since I come from, a journalism background rather than a marketing background, I was looking for great stories, not just great stories about my company (much to my CMO’s chagrin). There were stories there in abundance – all you had to do was to talk to people.

Changing Corporate Culture with Commissions

Changing Corporate Culture with Commissions

Preparing for C3 2016 is a lot of work when you’re part of the team staging the event. Much goes on behind the scenes, and the pace gets more intense right up until the opening keynote begins. But there are lots of great things about preparations for the event as well.

C3 Panel Preview: Five More Unexpected Benefits that CPQ Delivers

We have a lot of great sessions scheduled for C3 2016. I’m lucky enough to be moderating a couple of panels at the event, including one about CPQ and what we call “success creep,” or the phenomena of users discovering benefits from the technology they didn’t anticipate.

The Miracle of Creativity: Why Vendors Should Rejoice when Users Invent a New Use Case

The Miracle of Creativity: Why Vendors Should Rejoice when Users Invent a New Use Case

At C3 2015, the customers were the stars of about half of the sessions. In some cases, they were reporting on how the performance of their businesses had improved using software to automate components of sales, marketing, learning or customer experience. In other cases, they went beyond that and explained the unique ways in which they used applications. A great example of this was a session presented by Advanstar and its technology partner, Traction On Demand.
