C3 2015: the Customer Experience Point of View

(Editor’s note: CallidusCloud’s acquisitions have been carefully managed, and in some cases resulted in what we call “federated companies” – organizations with products that play key roles in the Lead to Money Suite but which also have vibrant customer bases all their own. Litmos is a great example – many companies use it to help train sales and marketing personnel, but many others use it for different training purposes unrelated to Lead to Money.

The Top 10 Tweets from C3 2015

The social media footprint of C3 2015 was enormous – the show’s attendance was very healthy, but the amount of Tweets and Facebook posts that came out of the show was all out of proportion to the size of the crowd. That indicates a couple of things: one, the content was strong and gave people plenty to think and talk about, and two, the audience was extremely engaged through every minute of the two days of sessions. We went through the posts and chose our favorites for this top 10 list of C3 Tweets (not planned as a nod to David Letterman and his last show, but whatever).

Expert Advice at C3: Notes From 4 Key Thought Leaders

Expert Advice at C3: Notes From 4 Key Thought Leaders

CallidusCloud Connections (C3) 2015 is now in the books, and the attendees are now back home, digesting what was shared and learned. That’s going to take a while – there was a lot announced by Leslie Stretch in the keynote (as we said in the blog last week, and as you can see for yourself in the form of a streamed replay of the keynote), but there was even more shared in the breakout sessions.

What you missed at C3: Tuesday Wrap-Up

We just wrapped up an amazing second day of CallidusCloud Connections (C3) in Las Vegas, and many still have the sounds of Robert Randolph and the Family Band ringing in our ears.

At C3 2015: DePaul University Uses CallidusCloud to Prepare Grad Students for the Real World of Selling and Sales Management

At C3 2015: DePaul University Uses CallidusCloud to Prepare Grad Students for the Real World of Selling and Sales Management

Although I intentionally avoided graduate school, instead opting to pursue a position in the lucrative and stable world of journalism, I have lots of friends who have earned MBAs. Some buy into the MBA curriculum a bit too much and it takes the friction of real-world experience to erode their academic veneer. A few others are more effective at blocking out reality – much to their peril and the peril of the companies they work for.

The Power of the Nudge

The Power of the Nudge

A recent article LinkedIn article by Laszlo Bock told a story of how Google helped its employees cut three million calories from their diets by putting candy in opaque jars while displaying healthier snacks like fruit and granola bars out in the open.  Simple tricks that produce dramatic improvements to our lives are all around us; just look up “Life Pro Tips” and you’ll see terabytes of ideas on quick and easy shortcuts (just this morning I learned that I can avoid spilling my coffee by fo

Blockbuster C3 Shows there’s a Hunger to Understand the B2B Customer Experience

Blockbuster C3 Shows there’s a Hunger to Understand the B2B Customer Experience

We’ve been talking a lot about the customer experience and how it’s evolving in B2B buying and selling. Apparently, we’re not the only ones thinking about it. At Monday’s C3 event in London, an enormous audience (three times the size of last year’s C3 Europe event) came out to hear CallidusCloud’s take on how customer experience fit into the Lead to Money process – and they also came with plenty of questions and some strong points of view.

Share Your Story in a Session at C3 2015

Share Your Story in a Session at C3 2015

This year, I have the lucky task of recruiting the session speakers for C3, scheduled for May 11-13, 2015 at the Wynn in Las Vegas. There are over 70 slots on the list, which seems like a lot – but, having had similar experiences as sessions chair for another show, the reality is that they can fill up fast. Past experience showed that the secret was to make sure people knew about the show, and they understood how remarkable their stories really were.

How to Build a Sales Acceleration Machine

What is a sales acceleration machine? And more importantly, how do you make one at your organization? To put it simply, it is a smooth and well-oiled mechanism between marketing and sales that facilitates working leads through a clearly defined step-by-step process till they turn into revenue.
